Abstract

This study presents the experimental results of the effects of two types of natural bed roughness with crushed sedimentation materials on hydraulic jump relative energy loss. Tests conducted on hydraulic laboratory of Shahid Chamran University. The crushed sedimentation materials were 20 and 27 millimeters in size which were densely installed on the bottom of a laboratory flume. These roughness’s were tested in different flow conditions with Froude numbers ranges from 5 to 12.7. Results show that the roughnesses can increase the amount of relative energy loss.
