Abstract
In order to determine the performance of different Integrated Pest Management (IPM) components for the management of yellow stem borer this work had been carried out. The maximum mean percent reduction in dead heart infestation over the untreated control was provided by treatment of chemical component (68.43%) followed by treatment of combination of chemical and non-chemical component (64.87%), farmers practice (63.25%) and treatment of non-chemical component (43.75%). However, the maximum cost benefit ratio was provided by the treatment of chemical component (1:3.25) followed by farmers practice, combination treatment of combination of chemical and non-chemical component (1:2.00) and low in case of non-chemical component (1:1.62). Result of the study represents that integrated pest management is more economical for agricultural productivity.
