Abstract

This paper presents a critical analysis of traditional approach to selecting a place for establishing points of geodetic network and explains the rationale for using four types of fragments of geodetic network for reliable identification of earth surface subsidence caused by liquid mineral extraction. Peculiarities of making such network fragments and general scheme of a level network for assessing the influence on the earth surface of groundwater extraction are also described.
