Abstract

An investigation was conducted in pot condition to study the fecundity of root-knot nematode, Meloidogyne incognita on fennel (Foeniculum vulgare Mill.) in different types of soil (sand, silt and clay). The studies revealed that the maximum multiplication of nematode took place in sand as compared to silt and clay soils. All same trends were noticed for number of galls, number of egg masses and eggs and larvae/ egg mass, soil population, final population and reproduction factor values.
