Abstract
The comparative study was done for heavy metal ions removal considering Cu (II) and Pb (II) in (Cu-Pb) Binary systems. Removal percent shows that Cu (II) can remove 90.76% from the prepared solution and Pb (II) attained 89.4% of the removal percent. Furthermore, the adsorption isotherm study showed that both the heavy metal ions Cu (II) and Pb(II) in (Cu-Pb) binary system follows the Langmuir isotherm with R2 values 0.986 and0.994 respectively. Moreover, results drawn from statistical analysis (two way ANOVA) are found to be highly significant for two factors A and B - 0.25 and 0.36 for Pb (II) and 0.74 and 0.10 for Cu (II) respectively at 5% level of significance. The interaction among factor A*B was also found significant at 5% level of significance with Cd value of 0.51 for Pb(II) and 0.44 for Cu(II) in (Pb-Cu) binary systems.
