Abstract
The observations after 30 days of treatment revealed a significant increase in both body length (P < 0.01) and body weight (P < 0.01) as compared to that of control. However it was a significantly higher increase in the body length (P < 0.01) and body weight (P < 0. 001) of the treatment recorded after 60 days as compared to that of control group. In the present study there was an increased growth rate of Rosy barb than that of control when treated with 17 α – methyltestosterone in the dosage 10 mg per kg of diet.
