Abstract
The study conducted with pre and post-emergent herbicidal combinations on blackgram at AICRP on Weed control, GKVK, Bangalore in late rabi season of 2013 revealed that interculture @ 20 DAS and hand weeding @ 40 DAS in resulted in higher growth parameters (274.0 cm2, 8.5 and 35.3 g plant-1 leaf area, no. of branches and total dry matter, respectively) and yield parameters (24.0, 8.2 g plant-1, 6.1 and 34.0 g no. of pods per plant, pod yield, no of seeds per pod and test weight, respectively), as well as yield (1182 and 5873 kg ha-1 seed and haulm yield, respectively). Uncontrolled weed growth resulted in maximum reduction in yield of 65.64 per cent. However plant height and harvest index was not influenced by weed control practices.
