Abstract

Inverted siphon is conveyance water structure in which utilized under highways, railroads and channels are recognized as one of the most important part of water shield network. The main part of siphon which has problem with sediment is outlet section. If sediment existed in this part of siphon it causes blowback and efficiency of siphon will be decreased. In this study by utilizing Multi Layer Perceptron and considering head of water, sediment grading, static angle, density and number of iterations of flushing operation as effective parameters on sediment transportation most effective parameter that affect sediment transportation have recognized. The results show that root maximum square error will be maximum after omitting head of water and it has maximum importance in regard to other parameters.
