Abstract
The article researches the anatomy structure of cover-ground phloxes (Phlox douglasii Hook. and Phlox subulata L.) grown in the south taiga subzone of Western Siberia. The most stable biosignatures have been discovered, and they can serve as diagnostic features in identification of the species. The researched species are characterized by a set of xerophytic and heliophytic features, most prominently exhibited by Phlox douglasii.
