Abstract

A field experiment was conducted at Regional Research Station, New Alluvial Zone, Gayeshpur, Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya, Nadia, West Bengal during the year 2014 in order to study the effect of different nutrient management on growth parameters and yield of summer groundnut. The analyzed data revealed that growth parameters and yield were significantly influenced by different nutrient management with NPK (inorganic), and organic inputs like vermicompost, neem cake, farmyard manure, biofertilizers Rhizobium and Phosphate Solubilizing Bacteria (PSB) and rock phosphate. Dry matter accumulation, CGR, number of nodules and dry mass of nodules per plant were found highest under treatment T6 (1/3rd of recommended N each from FYM, VC and NC along with Rhizobium, Rock phosphate and PSB) followed by integrated nutrient management T1 (50% recommended NPK (inorganic) + 50% N as FYM). Maximum pod yield of 2501.23 kgha-1 was observed in 50% recommended NPK (inorganic) + 50% N as FYM (T1) which was statistically at par with 1/3rd of recommended N each from FYM, VC and NC along with Rhizobium, Rock phosphate and PSB (T6) with a yield of 2426.67 kgha-1.
