Abstract

Variation studies in fodder quality parameters viz., mineral nutrients contents in Mulberry (Morus indica L.) was undertaken in four provenances of Himachal Pradesh viz., Nauni, Hamirpur, Dhaulakuan and Jacch under nursery conditions. Nauni and Dhaulakuan provenances showed superior values for most of the leaf mineral nutrients content than other provenances. The provenance Nauni (P1) showed highest nitrogen content (2.96%) and phosphorus (0.62%). Dhaulakuan (P2) provenances exhibited better values for potassium content (1.69%), calcium (3.82%) and magnesium (0.86%) than other provenances.
