Abstract

Were presented the results of the phenotypic evaluation of synthetic hexaploid wheat lines of CIMMYT breeding, that was created by crossbreeding of wheat varieties by Plant Breeding and Genetics Institute (Odessa, Ukraine), and variety Pandur, Romania (T. durum Desf., genome AB) with Aegilops Tausch (Aegilops tausñhii Coss., genome D), and also of 15 lines of synthetic wheat of the Kyoto University (Japan) in conditions of southern forest-steppe of Western Siberia in 2016. The work is done for the purpose of expansion of wheat genetic resources to improve plant resistance to biotic and abiotic stresses of wheat. Was evaluated a high variability of the genotypes for the studied traits. Were evaluated lines with high and moderate resistance to rust diseases. Lines, obtained by crossing of varieties UKR-OD 1530.94 and samples Ae. tauschii (392); (629); (1027); (1031) and lines of LANGDON/KU-2074; LANGDON/KU-2075; LANGDON/KU-2100; LANGDON/KU-2079 had high complex resistance to powdery mildew, leaf and stem rust. Synthetic wheat lines that were selected according to agronomic characteristics should be used in breeding programs as source material
