Abstract
Fungi capable of solubilizing insoluble phosphate were isolated from the soil sediments of Muthupettai mangroves, Thiruvarur District, Tamilnadu. Out of five isolates, Aspergillus niger and Penicillium nigricans were found to be efficient in solubilizing insoluble phosphates.
