INFLUENCE OF GEOLOGICAL FAULTS ON PLANNING MINING OPERATIONS IN CONTIGUOUS SEAMS

Vladimir Pavlovich Zubov, Alexander Vladimirovich Nikiforov and Evgeny Rostislavovich Kovalsky

Abstract

The article shows the results of studying the influence of mining and geological factors on the parameters of destressed zones from dangerous strains of the undermined seams in sections of minefields complicated with disjunctive geological disturbance. Studies with the use of the boundary element method for the field of medium strains have been performed. As a result of research, it has been established that the factors with significant impact on the efficiency of undermining include the following: fault plane slope angle and the amplitude of rupturing faults, the distance between faults, the sequence of mining extraction columns in the protective seam between adjacent geological faults, and the system of mining protective coal seams. A conclusion has been made that the maximum unloading effect is achieved in mining columns in the protective seam in the direction from the hanging side of a geological fault towards the lying side of the adjacent fault.
