Abstract

The influence of three levels of GA3 and bulb size on Ornithogalum was carried out at the experimental farm of the Division of Vegetable Science and Floriculture, Faculty of Agriculture, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu, India during the year 2014-15.Gibberllic acid and bulb size had a significant effect on growth, flowering and bulb production in Ornithogalum. Larger size bulb in combination with 200 ppm GA3 was proved effective in maximising almost all the vegetative, floral and yield attributes viz. number of florets per spike (61.46) and bulb weight (12.05 g) , respectively compared to control.
