Abstract
Soil Microbes carry out a wide range of processes that are vital for soil health and fertility in both Chemical farming (CF) and Natural farming (NF).The increased consumption pattern of pesticides and chemical fertilizers has led to changes in soil Microbial population. The present study was carried out to characterize both CF and NF soil with respect to its biological property. A significant result was obtained related to Microbial population which was found to be high in NF having heterotrophic bacterial population in the range of 45x101 to 40x103 CFU/g of soil and fungal population in the range of 3x102 to 10x104 spores/g when compared to CF increasing the soil fertility.
