MULTICONVERTER TECHNOLOGY BASED VOLTAGE COMPENSATION FOR PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEM

Abstract

The depreciation of fossil fuels has made the world to move towards renewable energy resources such as Wind, solar etc., for power generation. Among these, solar power system becomes more popular because of its abundant availability. Hence this work proposed a novel technique for integration of PV based system with the grid. In this work a 5 level cascaded multilevel inverter with fuzzy controller is adopted for integrating PV system with the grid. The MPPT algorithm for PV system is designed using PSO technique. Thus the effectiveness of the proposed system is verified using MATLAB simulation.
