Abstract

Forest soils of the floor bioclimatic semi arid in general are fragile and vulnerable, for several reasons: irregular and often violent precipitation encourage erosion; the importance of the slopes exacerbates the phenomenon; the high temperatures accelerate the decomposition of organic matter and droughts are slowing the production of nutrients; plant productivity is often reduced because of the hardness of the climate and the recurrence of fires. The objectives of this work were to evaluate the effects of the fires on fungal of soil communities and identify some fungi that are resistant to fire. The results showed that fires affect long term most of the fungal groups and greatly reduce their number and their diversity. Our results also showed that in areas arid semi under a harsh climate of high frequencies of fires would be irreversible for the fungal characters of forest soils.
