Abstract

The maintenance of optimal water-salt and nutrient regimes, the optimal groundwater level and mineralization is important in the post meliorative period. The purpose of these studies is to provide a scientifically grounded assessment of reclaimed soils used in the post meliorative period and further develop parameters for forecasting their agro-meliorative regime. This work was conducted with the use of traditional ground-based methods of soil research. As a result of the research, data were obtained that allowed assessing the water-salt and nutrient regimes, groundwater levels and mineralization, for previously reclaimed meadow saline soil under the alfalfa against the background of deep, horizontal drainage, and developing methods for controlling the soil biota, improving the meliorative state of the soil and indicators of its effective fertility.
