Abstract

Bacteria are able to adapt the trace metals and contaminating the environment. In this study bacterial colonies were isolated and identified by selective medium agar from the soil samples near the industrial areas of Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Four different native bacterial strains were isolated Bacillus sp., Staphylococci sp., Escherichia Coli, & Enterobacteria sp. Two bacterial strain Bacillus sp. (15ppm) &Staphylococci sp. (10ppm) were able to tolerate mercuric chloride. The morphological characteristic of bacterial strain was studied by SEM-EDX and FTIR.
