Abstract

Energy crisis and proper waste disposal is the greatest challenge of the today scenario. Biofuel from agricultural farm waste could be a propitious cybernetics though the technique has multiple challenged and restriction such as biomass supply and conduct and effectual pre-treatment methods for completely lignocellulosics delignification. Banana pseudo-stem to ethanol by cocultures of Aspergillus niger, Aspengillus fumigates, Trichoderma ressei and Saccharomyces cerevisiae by Simultaneous Saccharification and Fermentation (SSF) process. Which was studied at various temperatures (20°C to 50°C) and at different pH (4.5 to 7.5). Fermentation was done for 7 days for banana Pseudo-stem and the ethanol content was analyzed every 24 hours. For the fermentation of banana peels the optimum pH and temperature was found to be 6.5 and 30°C. With the improved temperature and pH, fermentation was conducted at different yeast concentration 3% to 12%. With changing concentration of yeast, using a 12%, 9%, 6%, 3% yeast inoculum, maximum ethanol manufactured was completely executed in 2, 3, 5 and 7 days respectively.
