Abstract
This research presents the assessment of occurrence, possible sources and ecological risk of 6 polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) indicator in water samples covering six sites in Kim Nguu River, Hanoi. Water sampling and chemical analyses were carried out in collected water samples in dry season (April) and wet season (October) in 2017. Results pointed out a significant contamination with 6PCBs concentrations in April 2017 and October 2017 ranging from 2.77 to 10.34 ng/L and from 2.28 to 9.89 ng/L, respectively. Diagnostic ratios indicated the predominance of PCB52 and PCB118. All 6 PCBs had low ecological risk in the surface water of KimNguu River.
