Abstract

Construction is the only sector that helps in determining the infrastructural growth of particular area. So where ever you see, we can see extensive constructions going on around us. The main materials we use in construction of any structure are cement; fine aggregate, coarse aggregate, reinforcement (rebar). Since the use of reinforcement in construction is expensive, research is being carried out to replace the reinforcement with plastic waste and used tins. Every year 6.4 million tons of plastic is being dumped in oceans which ultimately pollutes water resources. Which if usedwisely can reduce pollution. If this waste is used as a replacement for reinforcement, we can reducethe construction cost of a building. Similarly, mild steel bottles also can be used since majority oftin waste is not being recycled.
