Abstract
Now a days the environment is being destroyed by pollution caused by many waste materials which may be agricultural or industrial. Industrial waste like waste glass is also one of the major reason for causing unhealthy atmosphere as it requires dumping yards which creates soil pollution. So there is a need to utilize this waste material somewhere like in construction industry. As the natural resources are also diminishing during the process of construction. Therefore waste glass can be used as one of the ingredients for construction purpose. In the present study a review is done on use of waste glass powder as replacement of sand for construction. The study is done on the effects of waste glass powder on mechanical properties of concrete like compressive Strength, Flexural Strength and Split Tensile Strength and it is observed that these properties are improved as compared to control concrete but not at a large scale.
