Abstract

The purpose of this research is to see the appearance of dolphins in the waters of the Alor-Pantar Strait and the surrounding seas in Alor Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province, Indonesia so that a database is available to be managed in a sustainable manner and to protect the dolphins. In this research, we found bottlenose dolphin (Tursiops truncates) and the spinning dolphin (Stenella longirostris). Sea surface temperatures using MODIS 2020 data ranging from 28.0 0C-31.0 0C, chlorophyll-a content 0.2 mm/m3-0.8 mm/m3, depth of General Bathymetric Chart of the Oceans 20-50 meters, and sea surface current velocities0.2-0.9 m/s.
