STUDIES ON THE FLORAL DISTRIBUTION OF PONDICHERY MANGROVESK. THARMENDIRAAbstract The present study was undertaken to record the floral distribution of Pondichery Mangroves. There are 23 mangrove and mangrove associated vegetation are indentified around the study area. Both the true mangrove and mangrove associate vegetation covers nearly 30 ha (5.6%) of the total inundated area.
