AVIFAUNA OF MUMBAI UNIVERSITY CAMPUS

Abstract

A survey was carried out to document the birds sighted in the Mumbai University Campus located at Kalina, Santacruz. Birds were identified and a checklist was prepared based on different families they belonged. The results showed that campus has a great amount of diversity in number as well as residential and seasonal status of birds. A total of 59 species of birds belonging to 27 different families were recorded during the present study.
