FISHERIES STATUS OF RIVER GODAVARI AT VILLAGE RAHER OF NANDED DISTRICT IN MAHARASHTRA, INDIAV.B. Sakhare and A.R. BidkarAbstract Village Raher in Nanded district of Maharashtra is situated on the bank of river Godavari. In the present study fisheries status of river Godavari at Raher was investigated. Altogether, 21 species of fishes were identified. The fisheries status including crafts and gears, fish fauna, and socio-economic conditions of fishermen are discussed.
