EFFECT OF SULPHURDIOXIDE ON THE NEUROENDOCRINE SYSTEM OF RED COTTON B (F YSDERCUS KOENIGII)Reena VyasAbstract In the present study the insect Dysdercus koenigii was exposed to I and 5 ppm of SO2 in experimental conditions for 15,30,45 and 60 minutes to study the effect of sulphurdioxide on neuroendocrine system. It was found that SO2 affects the brain and neuroendocrine system of the insect.The amount of neurosecretry material was found to be increasing in cell cytoplasm and the cells are fully packed with neurosecretary material.
