PERSISTANCE OF RESIDUES OF ENDOSULFAN ON BRINJAL

Abstract

A field study was undertaken to determine the residue and persistence of endosulfan in Brinjal fruit at Shinganapur area of Parbhani District.The area undertaken for study is a commonly vegetable growing area throughout the season, and yield is supplied to Parbhani market. It has been revealed that about 99% of initial residue of endosulfan disappeared in Brinjal within 15th days after application. On the basis of this study it has been concluded that it is safe to consume the vegetable after 15th the days of application.
