Abstract

Current values of erosion and sediment in the country, generally have taken place with using by estimates and expert opinions that led to a scattered amounts of erosion and sediment. Due to lack of integration measured locations in the country, comparison between estimated values and observed values can lead to the correct and the accurate values. The measured sediment data in the country are including sediment storage dams, check dams and hydrometric stations. These values was compared with estimated values of EPM method in geographical various regions. In each geographical region, the median ratio of observed data and estimated data were determined and one coefficient was obtained. This coefficient multiplied on estimated data and adjusted values were obtained. Then, the efficiency and accuracy of total data was calculated for each region. The results showed the error and accuracy of this method are equal by 412.79 and 62.39 respectively. Also, the efficiency of used coefficient was determined 0.004. The coefficients betweenobserved data and estimated data are from 0.62 to 1.27 in the different regions.
