Abstract

Biochemical parameters are measured to determine the effects of environmental stress, nutritional factors, and pathogens on the health of birds. In this study, blood was taken from 20 adult birds (10 males and 10 females) to measure the biochemical parameters of their blood serum. Biochemical factors were measured by an auto analyzer and the data were analyzed using Sigma state 3.5. The mean ± SD of biochemical factors include: Glucose ( Male: 388.67±73.6 mg/dL, Female: 369.70±50.95 mg/dL ). Cholestrol ( Male: 328.00±35.94 mg/dL, Female: 315.69±33.63 mg/dL ), Triglyceride ( Male: 124.17±22.39 mg/dL, Female: 164.62±23.48 mg/dL ), Total protein ( Male: 3.76±0.44 g/dL, Female: 3.87±0.51 g/dL ), Albumin ( Male: 1.38±0.14 g/dL, Female: 1.44±0.15 g/dL ), Calcium ( Male: 4.79±1.03 mg/dL, Female: 4.91±0.73 mg/dL ), Magnesium ( Male: 3.17±0.41 mg/dL, Female: 3.42±0.50 mg/dL ), Phosphorus ( Male: 6.42±0.80 mg/dL, Female: 7.21±1.14 mg/dL ), AST ( Male: 551.92±59.23 U/L, Female: 580.56±48.81 U/L ) and ALP ( Male: 298.42±17.59 U/L, Female: 302.59±20.99 U/L). There was a statistically significant difference in Triglyceride levels between the two sexes (P-value <0.050).
